We are pleased to announce the firm has appointed a new Managing Partner.

Reflecting on his time leading the firm, Richard Carter shared:

"After over 20 years as Managing Partner of Martin Tolhurst Solicitors I advised the Partners last month of my wish to step down from the position. I have been privileged to hold the role, supported by such brilliant staff and clients, and have thoroughly enjoyed my time as the lead Partner. The Firm is unrecognisable from 2004 and I am so proud of what we have built together. I am staying with the Firm to head up our compliance and training function which I am looking forward to. The Partners have, in the last week, elected Andrew Ashley-Edwards as my successor and I am delighted to see this. Andrew joined us 12 years ago, quickly became a Partner and has headed up our Commercial Department with distinction. He will, I am certain, improve the Firm still further and drive us forwards with great success. In the short term Andrew and I are working hard focussed on an orderly transition with a comprehensive handover."

Looking ahead to his new role, Andrew Ashley-Edwards shared his enthusiasm:

"I am delighted to have accepted the role of Managing Partner at Martin Tolhurst Solicitors in succession to Richard Carter.  Richard’s effectiveness in the role has left me in a privileged position to be able to build on extremely strong foundations. The success of any business relies on more than one person and I am fortunate to be supported by a group of talented and dedicated partners and an exceptional workforce.  Together with my team, I look forward to continuing the growth and success of Martin Tolhurst Solicitors into the future."
