Chloe Baumhauer

Trainee Solicitor

Chloe currently works as a Trainee Solicitor within the Private Client department at our Longfield office, after starting with Martin Tolhurst in March 2022 in their New Enquiries department.

What Chloe says:

I graduated from Coventry University in 2020 with a 2:1 in Law LLB. Aspiring to become a solicitor one day, I went on to study the Legal Practice Course and Masters at the University of Law, where I graduated in 2021 with an LLM in Legal Practice.

I joined the firm in March 2022 working within the New Enquiries team at our Gravesend office. This helped me gain knowledge and experience of all different legal areas, allowing me to meet the needs of our client’s enquiries and allocate accordingly. This also helped with my client service and client care skills, preparing me for my next role in January 2024 as a Paralegal which required more specific support to clients. After my role as a Paralegal within the Private Client department, drafting Wills and LPAs and assisting with administering estates, I started my Training Contract in September 2024 in the Longfield office. This entails assisting one of the Partners with all Private Client work and Conveyancing work, in addition to working on Court of Protection Deputyship applications with an Associate Partner, which brings challenges and expands my legal knowledge.

If I were not working in a law firm, I would be...

Travelling around the world, as well as volunteering in elephant sanctuaries. I am a lover for sightseeing and experiencing different cultures and have visited my fair share of countries with a long list to go!

If I were stranded on a desert island and could take three pieces of music (or books or films) with me, they would be…

Friend’s the TV Show boxset – my comfort blanket, never gets boring and makes me laugh no matter my mood which would help keep me sane!

Matt Haig’s The Midnight Library - one of my favourite books, to take my mind away for a while and envisage limitless possibilities of how life could be.

Any of Ed Sheeran’s albums to keep me empowered.
