Maya Kaler
Maya joined the firm in 2025 as a New Enquiries Administrator based in our Gillingham office. She can engage with clients and lawyers alike to ensure that our services are delivered in a professional, efficient, and approachable manner from the very beginning.
What Maya says:
I joined Martin Tolhurst Solicitors in January 2025 as a New Enquiries Administrator, with the goal of gaining hands-on experience in the legal sector. I graduated from the University of Kent with an LLB in Law, and this role allows me to broaden my understanding of different areas of law while developing practical skills beyond my academic studies.
With this experience, I hope to pursue the Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE) and qualify as a solicitor in the future.
How I Can Help You
· First Point of Contact – Assisting new clients with their initial legal enquiries.
· Guiding Clients to the Right Legal Support – Ensuring they are directed to the appropriate solicitor or department.
· Providing Excellent Client Service – Offering clear communication and a professional, friendly approach.
· Expanding My Legal Knowledge – Continuously learning and developing skills for my future legal career.
Outside of work, I have a passion for travelling—I’ve already visited over 15 countries and plan to explore many more. I also enjoy volunteering and charity work, which I hope to incorporate into my travels.
If I were not working in law, I would be...
I would love to be a boutique owner in a small Italian town. As a child, I dreamed of becoming a fashion designer, and I’d split my time between travelling the world for inspiration and curating designs for my boutique.
If I were stranded on a desert island, my three must-have books or music choices would be...
· A book on how to escape a desert island—definitely practical!
· A meditation or yoga book—as a spiritual person, this would help me stay relaxed.
· Summer Walker’s Over It album—a perfect soundtrack to unwind.
