What Tom says:
After gaining my LLB at Canterbury Christchurch University, I went on to join a large conveyancing firm in the South East. Over the next two years I gained valuable experience as both a legal assistant and as a conveyancer, dealing with a mixture of remortgages and sale/purchase transactions. I recently completed my Legal Practice Course with distinction at Bournemouth University.
After spending a short time with Martin Tolhurst in the summer of 2017, I was delighted to be offered a permanent position as a Trainee Solicitor commencing July 2018. In February 2020 I completed my training contract with the firm and qualified as a Solicitor.
I am currently working in the conveyancing department and I am relishing the opportunity to continue my learning and development within this area and expand my knowledge further.
Throughout my time spent within the legal field I have come to appreciate the importance of good customer service, I recognise that there are many stresses for clients and that it is our job to make matters as pain free as possible.
If I were not a lawyer, I would be...
Outside the office I love to spend as much time as possible with my two dogs Rocky and Rover. When I’m not with them I’m either away travelling or at least busy planning my next travel destination.
If I were stranded on a desert island and could take three films with me, they would be...
The Lord of the Rings trilogy, as I would be able to tell if I was in serious danger should I ever get so bored as to put them on.
